The Department of Surgery is home to 6 divisions: Gastrointestinal Surgery and Surgical Oncology, Acute Care Surgery (Trauma/Emergency General Surgery/Surgical Critical Care/Surgical Psychology), Vascular, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Otolaryngology and Cardiothoracic Surgery. We have world class programs in all of these areas providing high quality care for the population of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.
We have training programs in general surgery, surgical critical care, medical otorhinolaryngology, rhinology, endoscopic sinus and skull based surgery and complex gastrointestinal surgery. Our trainees graduate with a high level of competence in all aspects of their specialty.
