The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville offers inpatient and outpatient services at several locations. Our faculty provide outstanding clinical care while educating and training the next generation of physicians and surgeons. We work to expand knowledge in our field through discovery and integration. The Department of Surgery is home to 6 divisions: General Surgery and Surgical Oncology, Acute Care Surgery (Trauma/Emergency General Surgery/Surgical Critical Care/Surgical Psychology), Vascular, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Otolaryngology and Cardiothoracic Surgery. We have world class programs in all of these areas providing high quality care for the population of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.

We have training programs in general surgery, surgical critical care and minimally invasive surgery. Our trainees graduate with a high level of competence in all aspects of their specialty.
