About Coral A Ruiz-Mojica
Coral A. Ruiz-Mojica, MD, is a fellowship-trained facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon with specialized expertise in both aesthetic and complex reconstructive procedures of the face, head, and neck. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she proudly embraces her heritage and brings a culturally informed, patient-centered approach to her practice. Dr. Ruiz-Mojica is fully bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to effectively connect with and care for a diverse patient population.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree with honors from the University of Puerto Rico – Medical Sciences Campus in 2019, where she was recognized for academic excellence and inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society—a prestigious distinction awarded to physicians demonstrating outstanding academic performance, professionalism, and a commitment to service.
Dr. Ruiz-Mojica completed a five-year residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Puerto Rico in 2024. She then pursued advanced fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Yadranko Ducic, a globally recognized leader in facial plastic surgery, skull base surgery, and head and neck reconstruction. This high-volume, comprehensive fellowship provided in-depth training in both aesthetic procedures and complex microvascular free flap reconstruction.
Dr. Ruiz-Mojica offers a wide range of surgical and non-surgical facial procedures, with clinical interests including cosmetic surgery, Botox® injections and dermal fillers, brow lift, blepharoplasty, face-lift, neck lift, ear reshaping surgery, cosmetic and functional nasal surgery, nasal reconstruction, facial trauma reconstruction, scar revision, skin cancer reconstruction, and advanced head and neck reconstruction, including microvascular surgery.
With a commitment to personalized care and surgical excellence, Dr. Ruiz-Mojica combines her extensive training, technical precision, and artistic eye to help patients achieve both functional and aesthetic goals.
