Fady Elabbasy, M.D.

Fady Elabassy, MD, is a double board-certified colorectal surgeon specializing in advanced colon and rectal procedures for conditions including colon and rectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. Through his training and practice in both Egypt and the United States, he has developed expertise in minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery.

Dr. Elabassy performs a variety of procedures, including anorectal procedures, bowel resection surgery, endoscopy, laparoscopic bowel surgery, robotic colon and rectal surgery, sphincter-sparing surgery, and transanal minimally invasive surgery. His clinical interests include colon, rectal and anal cancers, complex inflammatory bowel disease, benign anorectal conditions, pelvic floor disorders, and fecal incontinence. Fluent in English and Arabic, Dr. Elabassy is able to provide personalized care to a diverse patient population.

After graduating from Cairo University, Dr. Elabassy completed a general surgery residency at Staten Island University Hospital and a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville.
