About Brian G Celso
Brian Celso, Ph.D., is a University of Florida associate professor of surgery and a psychologist at UF Health Jacksonville specializing in surgical, trauma and critical care psychology. Dr. Celso transferred to the UF Department of Surgery – Jacksonville from the Department of Psychiatry, where he worked for 12 years to improve the mental health and wellbeing for patients within the Jacksonville community. Dr. Celso has been affiliated with the trauma program at UF Health Jacksonville for more than 20 years through various research initiatives and quality improvement studies. He directs the outpatient clinic, offering clinical and research experience to UF Health Surgery – Jacksonville, both on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
