About Abdullah M Alanazi

Abdullah Alanazi, M.D., is an ear, nose and throat specialist, with advanced training in the subspecialty of laryngology, which focuses on caring for patients with voice, swallowing and airway disorders through advanced surgical techniques.

After obtaining his medical degree and completing his residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at King Saud University in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Alanazi became highly interested in laryngology. He pursued two highly regarded laryngology fellowships at renowned institutions: New York University in New York and the University of Washington in Seattle. These fellowships provided invaluable exposure to cutting-edge advancements and techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of voice, swallowing and breathing disorders within the field of laryngology. Dr. Alanazi obtained a board-certification in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

With a focus on staying at the forefront of technological advancements, Dr. Alanazi utilizes the latest state-of-the-art tools and techniques in his practice. His areas of expertise encompass the treatment of voice, swallowing and breathing disorders, and he possesses profound proficiency in both open and endoscopic airway procedures. Additionally, Dr. Alanazi has extensive experience in gender-affirming surgery, further demonstrating his comprehensive approach to patient care.

Dr. Alanazi’s contributions to the field of laryngology extend beyond clinical practice. He has authored numerous influential papers, particularly in the areas of airway stenosis and laryngeal papillomatosis. As an active editor, he serves on the editorial boards of respected publications such as the Ear, Nose and Throat Journal; Journal of Laryngology and Voice; and the Journal of Otolaryngology and Rhinology Research.

Joining the division of otolaryngology as an assistant professor and laryngologist, Dr. Alanazi brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the UF Health community and looks forward to serving you.
