Welcome to the minimally invasive surgery program offered by the department of surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. The program provides professional services at UF Health Jacksonville, a tertiary care teaching hospital serving northeast Florida and southeast Georgia.

Patient Care

Services offered by the surgeons of our section include laparoscopic or endoscopic surgical procedures as well as robotic, or robot-assisted, surgery using the da Vinci Xi surgical system. When minimally invasive procedures are an option, they typically offer patients quicker recovery and lower risk than traditional open surgery.

Education

The UF Department of Surgery in Jacksonville offers graduate medical education training in our ACGME-accredited general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship programs. Also offered is a non-standard advanced gastrointestinal and minimally invasive surgery fellowship.
